Places to visit
in Brazil

SOUTHERN REGION

São Paulo

São Paulo is Brazil's and South America's largest city, a major global hub, and, most importantly, Gabi’s hometown! Highlights of this sprawling metropolis include museums (MASP, MIS, Pinacoteca), Parque Ibirapuera, the Municipal Market, and a world-class selection

of phenomenal restaurants!

Pantanal

Pantanal, the world’s largest tropical wetland, is located in the western parts of the states of Mato Grosso and Mato Grosso do Sul. It is an incredibly biodiverse region and the perfect destination for those who want to spot jaguars, macaws, capybaras, and giant otters in their natural habitat! In order to reach this area, you can fly into Campo Grande Airport and book transfers to the nearby cities of Aquidauana, Bonito, Miranda, and Corumbá.

Florianópolis

Florianópolis, or "Floripa," is the capital of Santa Catarina, known for its beautiful beaches and nightlife. There are over 40 beaches to visit and a lot of beautiful nature to see.

Foz do Iguaçu

Foz do Iguaçu is home of the famous Iguaçu Falls. Aside from visiting the hundreds of waterfalls, there are also several nature trails and different geographical landmarks to explore.

NORTHEAST REGION

Bahia

A culturally rich and vibrant state, with its capital, Salvador, known for African influences and vibrant festivals. We recommend exploring accommodations in beach towns near Porto Seguro, Trancoso, Arraial d'Ajuda, Morro de São Paulo,

and Praia do Forte.

Alagoas

Alagoas, known for its beautiful beaches and lagoons, has its capital in Maceió. Beach areas to explore include Maragogi (called the “Brazilian Caribbean”),  São Miguel dos Milagres, Japaratinga, and Praia do Francês.

Rio Grande do Norte

Rio Grande do Norte is known for its beautiful beaches and sand dune parks. Some beautiful areas to visit include Genipabu (also has sand dune region to explore Parque das Dunas), Pipa, São Miguel do Gostoso (good kitesurfing), and Maracajaú (good snorkeling).

Pernambuco

Pernambuco is a northern Brazilian state which is very important to the country’s history and is where Gabi’s grandfather was from. We recommend visiting Recife and Olinda (historical cities),

and exploring Carneiros and Porto de Galinhas beach towns.

NORTH REGION

Amazon

The Amazon is the world's largest tropical rainforest and the heart of our country. For those looking for ecotourism and adventure, this is a highly recommended trip. There is no better place to observe tropical wildlife than the Amazon.
